We have a number of things to share with you, and they might seem a bit random seperately, but it’s all going on THIS week, so we wanted to make sure you are adaquetley informed, connected and inspired.

1. OUR VIP WINNER:

#2: Cinco de Derby Party
Some friends of mine grew up in the south, and always get together to watch the Kentucky Derby. We were all so excited to dress up and watch the fashion… I mean HORSE RACE together. Here’s my thrifted derby outfit:
Keeping with the themes of bright summer colors, florals and HUGE hats:
- sweetheart neck floral dress: $5.99
- lavender bow-ed bag: $2.99
- vintage plum high-rise heels: $7.99
- wide-brim sun hat: $1.99
= Party ready for under $20!
The hat and dress accessories are also thrifted: I bought a dress a LONG time ago at Thrift Town that didn’t fit but had a great black bow and rosettes on it. I ended up cutting the bodice (with the rosettes) off the dress, and wrapping it around the top of the hat, covering up the mardi gras mask (that has the GREAT feathers on it). I took the bow off, sewed a pin to the back and now have it as a sweet little add-on to any outfit. TA-DA!

#3: It’s Mother’s Day!
If you have yet to get your amazing mom something, there are TONS of great gifts at Thrift Town. From tote bags and summer dresses & sandals to jewelry and pretty dishes, it’s pretty hard not to find something perfect for your mom.
Gearing up for Mother’s Day this past week, Thrift Town had the oppurtunity to do a morning television segment on Good Day Sacramento - outfitting moms for under $40 each!
