Hello thrifty friends!

We’ve had a busy Thrift Town week, with more fun to come, and are excited to fill you in! We told you all about the CARH Fashion Show fundraiser we were able to style thrifty looks for - that happened this past Friday night here in Sacramento (it was GREAT!!). But before the big event, a local news station jumped in to help us promote the fundraiser on their show for an entire morning!

Good Day Sacramento on Channel 31, here in Sacramento has 5 hosts, all covering different aspects of lifestyle and news pieces, every weekday morning from 4:30am - 10:00am. As the blogger, and Thrift Stylist for Thrift Town, I got to team up with Elisabeth Crawford, Development Director for CARH, and Wendy Steinmetz of Thrift Town to put on a great show!

Between me, Elisabeth, and my faithful interns, we got to style ALL FIVE hosts in Thrift Town clothes to be revealed on-air and shown off for all the viewers to see!

With only one fitting before the actual morning of the show, we had four more hosts who hadn’t tried on a thing! There was a lot of precision timing between segments, fitting everyone, and once outfits were picked, steaming and prepping. All 3 of us girls pitched in to make the morning a success (Wendy, above, steaming out a shirt). We came prepared with a ton of GREAT styles from top brands, ALL from Thrift Town, to fit them all in. When it was all said and done, each host not only looked great in stylish clothes that fit them, but we tailored each look to fit their personalities. They LOVED everything we put them in, and actually went home with their outfits.

But the BEST part about the styling was : every outfit, head to toe, cost under $20!

Julissa was one of our hosts, and she loved this outfit we picked out for her! Bright and summery, perfect for being a cute new mom on the go.

Here’s everyone in their Thrift Town styles, including Wendy and I, all of us wearing under $20 total! We really appreciate Good Day Sacramento giving us the opportunity to promote our California charity partner, CARH, and the CARH fundraiser, all the while, raising awareness for the style possibilities when you shop secondhand. I think all of the hosts were impressed, surprised, and enlightened when they saw how great they could look without spending a ton.
