Thrift Town is Making a Difference.
Did you realize that just by shopping at Thrift Town, you’re not only being green and saving green, but you’re also supporting people with special needs in your community?
I used to work with people with disabilities, and care very much about this population. I am so blessed to run my own business which has enabled me to be a part of a company that shares my values in wanting to provide the best care for people with disabilities. I am so proud to write for Thrift Town, knowing that Thrift Town has a long-standing relationship with the charity CARH.
I’ve been a busy bee planning CARH’s upcoming fashion show event, and it’s going to be awesome! The fashion show event will benefit CARH, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting local children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This event will help to raise funds for CARH’s programs and services which provide support to all who are affected by intellectual disabilities in the Greater Sacramento area.
CARH is based in California, and has been in the Bay Area for over 30 years. CARH came to Sacramento almost three years ago to celebrate their clients there and raise money for their cause, CARH is continuing their tradition of holding fabulous fundraisers for the community to get involved in their charity.

For the fashion show, the models are clients of CARH who have special needs, and they will all be styled by yours truly & Elisabeth Crawford, CARH’s Development Director, in 100% Thrift Town looks! This year, our theme is En Vouge, and CARH & Thrift Town pulled out all the stops.
This is an annual event so if you live in California, but can’t make it this year, plan now to get involved and come out for a great time. But for now, here’s a peek at our event from last year!
The staff at CARH have such a genuine love for their clients. They put everything into having a fun event that the clients will enjoy. This year’s event is going to be a little different… held in the evening, in the heart of Sacramento. We are looking forward to a night out on the town, with a lot of fun packed in.
The En Vogue Unique Fashion Show promises to be a one-of-a-kind evening featuring:
* High styled thrift fashions
* Project Runway inspired fashion designer contest
* Delicious appetizers and drinks
* Live and silent auction
* Raffle prizes
* Formal attire requested
The true stars of the evening are the fashion models - local individuals with disabilities who receive support from CARH. The models will be dressed in an exciting line up of fashions that are offered at CARH’s partner Thrift Town Stores. Our models will steal the show!
One hundred percent of the funds raised from the CARH fashion show will benefit local children and adults with special needs through CARH.3 Ways To Purchase Tickets:
