Give Your Old Jeans a New Look!

How To:
You'll need some sewing know how to do this project!
1. Buy a used pair of jeans at Thrift Town. We have lots of jeans at great prices.
2. You'll need 1/4 yard of fabric, 1 yard ribbon and 1 yard of any other trim for project.
3. Wash jeans and fabric.
4. Iron fabric.
5. Cut off jeans to desired length. This pair is Capri length.
6. Zigzag stitch cuff of jeans to keep them from freying. Also finish off fabric ends.
7. Pin and sew bead trim to fabric so it will be on the inside edge of the cuff.
8. Pin fabric on jeans evenly so it sandwiches the inside and outside of jean cuffs.
9. Sew fabric onto denim.
10. Pin ribbon to cover stitching on the decorative fabric and sew.
11. Pin and sew on all remaining beads and cording by hand.

See below for pictures of a few of the steps. Helpful tip: Sewing with the glass beads at the beginning was tricky to maneuver under the sewing machine. I would advise sewing them on by hand at the end.

Congratulations! You now have an original pair of jeans!
