Mommy Moments; Jersey Pillowcases

Since my kid’s jerseys are sacred to me, I decided to try this project out using jerseys I found at Thrift Town. I selected jerseys from some of their favorite teams I found in the children’s and men’s departments, and then headed over to the bins section for some thrifted pillows. The jerseys cost around $2.99-$9.99 each, and the pillows cost around $2.99 each. You could easily complete this project for under $10. Very budget friendly for house decor or gift! Plus, I decided to try a no-sew version because, well, I don’t seem to have natural sewing skills! Read More →

Mommy Moments; Create Storage Spaces by Upcycling Vintage Items

Posted on by Gina | diy | mommy-moments | news

I love Pinterest. I love it for a few reasons. The first of course being it both challenges and inspires me to recreate amazing pieces using only thrifted items. The second because it completely and utterly humbles me. Crafting does not come naturally to me. Figuring out how to recreate something is something I can do in my head in seconds. However, actually turning that vision into a reality can sometimes require a lot of do-overs and a healthy pour of a good cabernet. Onto this week’s projects - turning a few vintage pieces into some thrifty cool storage pieces. Read More →

POSSIBILITY CENTRAL: the nightgown dress

When Shopping thrift, what’s on the racks isn’t the full story. It’s what each piece has the potential to become. You don’t have to be the most creative or inventive person to see it. I feel it’s a learned skill / habit to not Read More →
