MY THRIFTED VALENTINE
It’s that lovey season…
So many ways to embrace the sentiment of Valentine’s Day, but I personally take the opportunity to dress really GIRLY. I have a penchant for pink-ness anyway, but in February I feel like I’m allowed to indulge a bit.
For our Valentine’s shoot, we didn’t go overboard on bubblegum
hues, but it is a look at a very feminine thrifted style:
It’s amazing what you can do with a modest budget and some skilled
styling… Each of our featured looks were affordable and striking.
My favorite of all three looks - simple, and girly with just a bit of skin. Easy-peasy hair, simple makeup and a red pout - our model Jennifer is gorgeous in anything, but I LOVE this easy affordable look.

Take a somewhat offbeat piece and make it a focal point. This thigh-length pink beaded 80′s sweater doubles as a cheeky dress. We added very little to it so our model and the design can shine. Locally made jewelry, and a wine stained lip complete it.
Lace, (faux) fur and a flirty skirt all together in one look are about as feminine as it gets. I know redheads often shy away from wearing shades of red, but Autumn looks ravishing in all these rich colors. Stylist tip: when wearing high collars (or a fluffy fur), opt for an updo.

How do you Valentine? Do you have your thrifty love looks all lined up?
