The Fabulous Thrift Tour
Saturday, November 9th marked my first ever thrift tour that I hosted. I thought what better title than The Fabulous Thrift Tour for it! When you combine a bus full of women, 5 incredible thrift stores, an actual party bus, (it had disco lights!) and champagne it breathes FABULOUS all over it.
My beloved Thrift Town was the third stop on our thrift shopping spree. We toured the Carmichael store and it was a huge shopping success for everyone. It’s no secret that I’ve been obsessed with Thrift Town for years and it was a no brainer to include Thrift Town on the tour. If we hadn’t included the store I would have felt like I was gypping the girls!
I left with the cutest vintage skirt, ($3.99) jacket, ($5.99) and red beret! ($2.99) Have I mentioned how much I’m obsessed over berets? That’s a whole other blog post! The red beret pictured here was $2.99 and had my name written all over it. Berets not only make me feel like I’m in Paris, the perfect fall hat, but most importantly it’s the perfect cover up for a bad hair day! I seriously love them and have a beret in 5 different colors. The faux fur scarf pictured here was from a previous Thrift Town excursion. ($5.99)
In the end everyone left very very happy and I was just thrilled to teach all the girls my extensive thrifting and styling knowledge. Thrift Town is so well organized, easy to maneuver, and has the greatest prices! One thing I really love about all the stores is that they have a ‘better clothes’ section that makes shopping a lot easier. The tour was such a great success that we are doing another one on Saturday, January 25th! And I’m happy to announce that Thrift Town will be participating again! This time we will be going to the El Camino store. Stay tune for more details!
