Celebrating in Secondhand Style
Did you make it out to our big Independence Day Sale? We love seeing our excited loyal customers bright and early on sale days. With so many fun ideas out there for using thrifted items to celebrate July 4th, we’re looking forward to hearing from you all on how you celebrated!
We had a wonderfully thrifty time gathering with friends, music, fireworks, food,
and of course, thrifted decor and outfits. Here’s a couple of our fun thrifted looks:
Lots of color, patterns and big smiles.
Melody (middle) used repurposed wide striped ribbon as a belt & matching headband,
over her adorable patterned secondhand dress.
To the right: a simple white tank top with a converted dress (now skirt).
Melanie (left): Throw a fun belt over a solid color for a breezy BBQ look!
Possibly the highlight of our gathering: having so many guys showing up in the same shirt! We took this picture when the third friend arrived, but after this was taken, 3 more guys showed up in different shades of gingham collared shirts. So funny - trend alert!
I love this hand-embroidered gem of a dress I found at Thrift Town a year ago - it was only $2.99. Simply tucked in the top and wore it as a flirty skirt. Paired with Thrift Town woven red leather flats and big red earrings, I was feeling quite festive.
Our friend Sophie went the vintage thrifted route and rocked a vintage swim suit as a top (after all, it was quite hot out) and a 70′s breezy white maxi skirt over it. Paired with one teal, and one tangerine colored earring, she was ready for fun in the sun.
