Find this Season’s Hot Trends at Thrift Town!

5 Trends you can make your own.

Hello fellow thrifters! I know it’s still a bit chilly out, but we’ve seen a bit of sunshine, and it’s just about time to look ahead to the next season & figure out how to attack it with style. I’m thrilled that a lot of the trends for spring are elements that are essentially just resurgences of classics from years gone by. This makes looking current in secondhand fashion so much more accessible! Here’s just a couple trends to incorporate into your wardrobe for spring.

1. BOLD ORANGE.
Wear it as a huge statement piece or as a more subtle accent, but bold brash orange is in! What’s great about specifically embracing a color for spring, is you can play up other trendy pieces in this color - 2 birds with one color!

2. WIDE LEG TROUSERS.
I LOVE this trend! In white - all the more.I think every girl should have a great fitting pair of white wide-leg trousers for spring & summer, period. But it’s big this year! If you do go with white, this is a simple way to have all the focus on the bold (orange? ) color you put on the top. High or low waist, with a fun belt - unlimited possibilities.

3. FULL SKIRTS.
Wear them high or low-waisted, but full length & full is the way to go. Pair it with a closer fitting top to balance out all the volume on the bottom, and you’ve got an easy girly look. Add a cardigan, layer it up with jewelry & own it!

4. DOLMAN SLEEVES.
These are all neutrals, but you get the idea - volume & dropped arm seams. This can be in a dress or a top, structured or breezy. Make it your own! The 1970’s have claimed this corner of fashion for spring - Thrift Town is your destination for this look!

5. HALTER NECKLINE.
Dresses or tops, long or short - the halter look isn’t great for everyone, but if it works with your body type, it’s a fun way to dress up your shoulders.

Whatever the trend - nothing trumps your personal style! So take a look at the trends and incorporate them into your own aesthetic. Thrift Town has all seasons, all colors, all sizes all the time. Lucky you!

  1. HOT! I’m down with the new spring do’s! Think I’ll add something about this on my blog (and look for the looks!)

    • Awesome! For me, the runway looks vary from season to season on being a hit or miss. For spring, I’m actually excited for quite a few of the trends, especially since they feel really approachable & customizable. Please send us pictures of your thrifted looks!

    The idea that one item can have its own flare is so amazing and so much that you can do to dress it up or dress it down.

  3. Floral & 70’s look is back too! I love the orange look

  4. Lovin the orange!!! =}

  5. Yeah! I love all of these new trends so it won’t be too hard for me to be “trendy”. And I also like 70’s floral. I just wish shoes would become cuter again. Heels these days seem way over the top?
