Set a Festive Summer Tabletop!

It’s summertime!! I am so excited for warmer weather, outdoor entertaining and amazing summer foods. A key player in all those things coming together is setting a great summer table. With Thrift Town, it’s so simple & inexpensive to have a wonderfully pulled-together summer-scape perfect for outdoor entertaining.

Five Tips for a Great Table:

1. Have fun! Be creative!

2. Don’t be afraid to use an item that’s not intended for a tabletop!

3. Setting food and decorations at different heights is functional and looks great.

4. Pick a theme! Themed tables really add to the atmosphere of any party!

5. Use candles when you can. They really help set a fun or even romantic mood.

Incorporate odd items to decorate a tabletop like no other:

I set this “beachy” hors d’oeuvre table with a few unexpected items from Thrift Town along with a few of my own secondhand items. A straw hat was used as a chip bowl, a shell to serve grapes, and a beach mat as a tablecloth.

For this tabletop old buckets were used to serve drinks on ice, and to hold flowers. An assortment of wine and martini glasses were used for veggies & dip and were also used to hold sand and votive candles.
